Trojan Softball Remains Unbeaten after Win over Dakota Valley

The West Central Trojans scored six runs in the first three innings on their way to a 7-2 win over the Dakota Valley Panthers on Monday, April 29th.

Caitlyn Hoff and Emillee Stofferahn both had RBI sacrifice flies in the top of the first inning.  Addy Kunzweiler added a two-run double in the top of the second.  Stofferahn started the third inning with a home run, and Jocelyn Nilson scored on an error to put the Trojans ahead 6-0.  The score remained 6-0 until the top of the sixth inning.  The Panthers scored a run in the sixth.  West Central responded when Izzi Parsons scored on an error.  Dakota Valley got one more run in the top of the seventh.

Nilson had three hits, including a double.  Hanna Raethz finished with two hits.  Stofferahn had a home run and two RBIs.  Kunzweiler had a double and two RBIs.  Parsons, Ayla Kramer, and Elisabeth Miller all had one single.  Hoff finished with an RBI.  Hoff also pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits and a walk with six strikeouts.
