The West Central Trojans blanked the Madison Bulldogs, 3-0, at home on Tuesday, May 12th in a battle of top teams in Class A softball.
Offense was at a premium in the game. The first two innings were scoreless between the two teams. West Central broke the tie with three straight hits in the bottom of the third. Addy Kuzweiler had an RBI single. Maddy Kunzweiler followed with an RBI single, and then Ayla Kramer had an RBI single to give the Trojans a 3-0 lead.
That was all the scoring they would need. Linzie Hoff was masterful on the mound throwing seven shut out innings while allowing just one hit and one walk and recording 10 strikeouts.
A. Kunzweiler, M. Kunzweiler, and Kramer all had a single with an RBI. Teagan Lupkes, Miley Travis, and Hoff all had one hit each.
