The West Central Trojan softball team earned a road win over the Harrisburg Tigers on Thursday, May 2nd.
The Trojans scored nine runs in the first two innings for an early lead. The Tigers scored a run in the bottom of the first. After two innings of play, West Central lead 9-1. Harrisburg got another run in the third and two more in the fifth to cut the score to 9-4. West Central responded with a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh to extend the lead to 12-4. Harrisburg scored four times in the bottom of the seventh.
Caitlyn Hoff had two hits, one a home run, and three RBIs. Jocelyn Nilson had two doubles and two RBIs. Elisabeth Miller added two singles and two RBIs. Kadence Lupkes had two doubles and an RBI. Hanna Reathz finished with two hits and an RBI. Ayla Kramer had a home run and an RBI. Izzi Parsons and Emillee Stofferahn both had a single and an RBI. Addy Kunzweiler added two singles. Stofferahn pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed eight earned runs on eight hits and four walks with nine strikeouts. Hoff pitched 2/3 of an inning walking one and striking out two.
