Quarrier Girls Drop Final Regular Season Road Game

Playing in their final regular season road game, the Dell Rapids Quarriers (3-16) fell to the Tea Area Titans 70-45 on Thursday, February 9th.

Dell Rapids had a three-point lead in the first two minutes of the game, but unfortunately their lead was short lived.  The Titans ended the first quarter with a 20-10 advantage.  Dell Rapids kept pace with Tea in the second quarter and trailed 37-25 at halftime.  The Titans then outscored Dell Rapids 22-8 in the third quarter and led 59-33 going into the fourth quarter.

The Quarriers shot 39% (18-46) overall, 35% (6-17) from three-point area, and 3-6 from the free-throw line.  Tea finished the game shooting 53% (29-55) overall, 39% (5-13) from three-point area, and a perfect 7-7 from the free-throw line.  The Titan defense forced 23 Quarrier turnovers in the game.

Jenna Miller had 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.  Liz Price added 10 points and three rebounds.  Elly Olson finished with nine points, three rebounds, and four assists.  Claire Wynja had eight points.  Kerrigan Kindopp ended with three points, two assists, and four steals.

JV Results – Coach Huska Update

The cold temperatures outside the Tea high school gym seemed to have been blown inside and settled in on the Quarrier’s shooting side of the court Thursday night.  The Quarriers JV team could not get into any offensive rhythm as they fell 13-44 to the Titans JV squad.

Mya DeStigter had four points.  Keilah Kremer ended with three points.  Reagan VanZee finished with two points and five rebounds.  Both Kassi Stykel and Alaina Wolff had two points each.  Peyton Hohn had three blocked shots and six rebounds.
