The Dell Rapids Quarriers track teams traveled to Canton for the Canton Invite on Monday, April 15th.
Rorie Thoreson won the 800m run in a time of 2:27.55. Clara Justice took third in the 300m hurdles. Sophia Godwin placed fourth in the 100m dash. Clarie Wynja had a fourth place finish in the shot put. Madison Carpenter placed fifth in the high jump. The relay teams had a good day. The 4x100m relay team of Goodwin, Wynja, Alaina Wolff, and Kylee Fiddelke finished first with a time of :53.14. The 4x200m and 4x400m relay teams finished second. The 4x800m relay team placed fourth.
Grady Lamer won the 400m dash in a time of :53.04. Mason Stubbe took second in the 100m dash. John Mortrude was second in the 400m dash. Will Ronshaugen placed third in the triple jump. Carson Maeschen was fourth in the shot put. The boys relay teams also had a good day. The 4x100m relay team of Stubbe, Cole Ruesink, Ryan Baker, and Jack Henry placed first with a time of :44.53. The 4x400m relay team was second. The sprint medley and 4x200m relay teams had third place finishes. The 4x800m relay team finished fourth.
