The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls track team finished ninth overall with a 29 points at the 2026 South Dakota State A Track Meet in Sioux Falls held Thursday, May 28th through Saturday, May 30th. Members of the boys team also competed at the state meet.
Rorie Thoreson finished third in the 400m dash in a time of :59.63 and placed fifth in the 800m run in 2:16.53. The 4x100m relay team of Alania Wolff, Aspen Zweifel, Claire Witte, and Madelynn Henry was third in a time of :50.57. The 4x400m relay team of Wolff, Zweifel, Brielle Hilmoe, and Thoreson took fourth in a time of 4:07.59. Vicica Kreul finished fifth with a throw of 118’2″. The 4x200m relay team of Wolff, Witte, Josie Price, and Zweifel placed seventh in 1:48.32. The sprint medley relay team of Wolff, Zweifel, Hilmoe, and Thoreson also placed seventh in a time of 4:12.56.
Jackson Peppel placed fifth in the javelin with a throw of 155’05”. Levi Peter placed 10th in the discus at 138’8″. Carson Maeschen finished 11th in the shot put at 47’5.25″.
