Several members of the Dell Rapids Quarrier track team competed at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays on Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th in Sioux Falls.
Kylee Fiddelke competed in the 400m dash (1:03.36). Clara Justice ran in the 100m hurdles (:17.50). The 4x100m relay team of Hanna VanOverbeke, Sophia Godwin, Madysen VanOverbeke, and Fiddelke (:53.70) placed 14th. The 4x00m relay team of Godwin, M. VanOverbeke, Kennedy Krull, and Fiddelke (1:53.36) placed 15th. The 4x400m relay team of Elly Olson, Krull, Justice, and Fiddelke (4:29.54) finished 16th. The 4x800m relay team of Adisen Stadem, Elizabeth Price, Madyn Lacey, and Peyton VanZee finished in a time of 11:10.66. Rileigh Foster placed 16th in the javelin with a throw of 102’11”.
Jade Anstine competed in the 100m dash (:11.40). The 4x100m relay team of Ian Mason, Owen Nelson, Chase Jones, and Anstine finished 12th with a time of :45.85. The 4x200m relay team of Mason, Nelson, Jones, and Anstine finished 11th with a time of 1:35.18.









Six members from the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal track team competed at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays in Sioux Falls Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th.
The Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks hosted the Corsica/Stickney Horned Frogs to open their 2022 amateur season on Friday, May 6th. The Gamecocks scored seven runs in the first three innings on their way to a 10-5 victory over the Horned Frogs.
The West Central High School baseball team won their third game in a row with an 11-2 victory over Baltic on Wednesday, May 4th in Baltic.
The Tri-Valley High School club baseball team trailed by three runs heading into the bottom of the seventh inning. They scored two runs without an out, but the rally fell short as Baltic got a 3-2 win on Thursday, May 5th.
