Tri-Valley Baseball Gets Back into Win Column

The Tri-Valley high school baseball team snapped a two-game skid with a 13-0 road win against Elkton/Lake Benton on Wednesday, April 15th.

The game was scoreless through the first three innings of play.  Lawson Schneiderman broke the scoreless tie by a steal of home in the top of the fourth inning.  Jackson Williams scored on an error in the top of the fifth.  Treyson Richter and Parker Hemme also scored on an error after a ground ball by Cooper Durick later in the inning.  Durick would also score on an error to extend the lead to 5-0.

The big inning for Tri-Valley game in the top of the sixth.  Richter drew a bases-loaded walk.  Cole Hendrixson followed with an RBI sacrifice fly.  Schneiderman drove home two runs with a single.  Durick and Schneiderman both scored on a wild pitch.  Tristen Bunde added an RBI single.  He later scored on an error to make the score 13-0.

Schneiderman finished with two hits and two RBIs.  Durick and Bunde each had two hits, each with a double, and one RBI.  Evan Focken added a single.  Hendrixson, Denton Bicknase, and Richter all had one RBI apiece.  Focken pitched six innings holding Elkton/Lake Benton scoreless on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts.
