Tri-Valley Baseball Rallies for Win over Garretson

The Tri-Valley high school baseball team used a big sixth inning to rally for an 8-4 come-from-behind win over Garretson to end the regular season on Wednesday, May 13th.

Cooper Durick delivered an RBI triple in the bottom of the first inning to put Tri-Valley ahead 1-0.  Garretson took the lead, 2-1, with a couple of runs in the top of the second.  They added two more runs in the top of the third to extend their lead to 4-1.  The score remained 4-1 until the bottom of the sixth.

Evan Focken reached base on an error that scored two runs to cut the lead to 4-3.  Parker Atwood tied the game on RBI single.  With one out in the inning, Lawson Schneiderman put Tri-Valley in the lead, 5-4, with an RBI single.  Jackson Williams extended the lead to 7-4 with an two-run single.  Treyson Richter later scored on a steal of home to make the score 8-4.  Garretson went down in order in the top of the seventh.

Williams had two hits and two RBIs.  Schneiderman ended with a single and double with one RBI.  Durick had a triple and an RBI.  Atwood finished with a single and an RBI.  Paxton Felsheim, Cole Hendrixson, and Dante Nehman all had one hit each.  Schneiderman also pitched all seven innings and allowed four runs, but just one earned, on five hits with nine strikeouts.
