After trailing by 13 points to start the four quarter and 11 points with 3:30 to play in the game, the Dell Rapids Quarrier boys put together a 13-2 run to tie the game on a three-pointer by Drew Van Regenmorter from the top of the key with :25 to play.  The Titans got a layup from Cael Lundin with :04.5 to play.  A last second three-point shot from Van Regenmorter fell off the rim no good, and the Titans handed the Quarriers their first loss of the season with a final score of 64-62 on Friday, December 21st.

Tea Area started the game on fire jumping out to a quick 12-2 lead in the first four minutes of the game.  The continued to hold a 10-point lead at 18-8 after the first quarter.  Dell Rapids scored the first nine points of the second quarter to pull within three points at 20-17, but the Titans responded with a 16-5 run the remainder of the quarter to lead 36-22 at halftime.

Dell Rapids was only able to cut the lead down by a point by the end of the third quarter at 51-38.  Tea Area maintained a double-digit lead throughout much of the fourth quarter, until the Quarriers made their run in the final 3:30 of the game.

Three players finished in double figures for Dell Rapids.  Van Regenmorter had 19 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists.  Colin Rentz had 12 points, four assists, three rebounds, and two steals.  Logan Ellingson finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Lundin led Tea Area with 24 points and eight rebounds.

Dell Rapids (2-1) will play the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals at the Entringer Classic in Brookings on Saturday, December 28th.  The game can be seen on Big Sioux Media.
