Trojan Girls Soccer Looking for Third Straight Title in 2022

The West Central Trojan girls soccer team will look to defend their state title and win their third straight championship in the 2022 season.  The Trojans finished last year with a 13-1-1 overall record and won the South Dakota Class A State title with a 2-1 victory over Dakota Valley.  It was their second straight state title and fifth in the last six years.

The Trojans will be returning starters Tessa VanOverbeke, Emma Goehring, Molli Thornton, and Cambell Fischer.  They will look for contributions from some returning underclassman and some first year players this year.

“This season we are looking to be successful in a competitive Class A field of teams as well as accomplishing our team and individual goals,” said head coach Greg Anderson.

The Trojans start the season at home against Tea Area on Tuesday, August 16th.
