Both the West Central Trojan boys and girls soccer teams have had their first match of the 2022 season.
The boys got their inaugural season started at home against Vermillion on Friday, August 12th. Vermillion scored three times in the first half for a 3-0 lead. The Tanagers scored eight more in the second half. West Central did get a goal in the second half, but fell to Vermillion 11-1.
The girls team also started their season at home hosting a tough Tea Area Titan team on Tuesday, August 16th. The Trojans got the only goal in the first half and was able to continue to hold Tea scoreless in the second half for a 1-0 victory.
The girls team will host Vermillion on Thursday, August 18th and then travel to Watertown on Saturday, August 20th. The boys team will host Yankton on Monday, August 22nd for their next match.
