The Humboldt/Hartford legion baseball team lost their second game in the Region 5B tournament on Thursday, July 25th, ending their season. The host team, Alexandria, took the win 10-0.
Alexandria got a run in the bottom of the first for a 1-0 lead. After a scoreless second inning, Alexandria scored three runs in the third, fourth, and fifth innings to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Humboldt/Hartford was held to just two hits in the game. Jesse Jost had a double, and Keaton Vessells had a single. Jericho Klein pitched 3 1/3 innings in the game allowing six runs, three earned, on four hits and two walks with two strikeouts. Jost pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing an unearned run on a walk with one strikeout. CJ DenBoer pitched 1/3 of an inning allowing three runs, two earned, on a hit and walks with a strikeout.
