West Central 16U scored 17 runs on 10 hits in a 17-3 win over Baltic on Monday, June 10th.
West Central scored 11 runs right away in the top of the first. Baltic cut into the lead, but only with three runs, in the bottom of the third. West Central added a run in the fourth and then five more in the top of the fifth before the game ended on the 10-run rule.
Keaton Vessells had three hits, one a triple, and two RBIs. CJ Denboer finished with two doubles and five RBIs. Zach Lorang had a triple and two RBIs. Alex Siemonsma had a single and two RBIs. Taten VavOverbeke added a single and an RBI. JT Steckley and Nick Lorang each had a hit, and Langdon Klinkhammer had an RBI. Ashton Gebhard pitched three innings and allowed three earned runs on two hits and three walks with seven strikeouts. Klinkhammer threw two innings walking two and striking out two.
