West Central Softball Blows Past Canton

The West Central Trojan softball team won a three-inning game in Canton on Tuesday, April 28th.  The Trojans scored 17 runs in the second inning on their way to a 25-0 win.

West Central scored five times in the top of the first highlighted by RBI singles from Teagan Lupkes and Briauna Hoff.  The 17-run second inning including a grand slam home run from Lupkes.  Stelle Siiemonsma, Sophia Rolfson, Emma Voeltz, Addy Kunzweiler, and Maddy Kunzweiler all had RBI hits in the inning.  The Trojans would add three more runs in the top of the third.

Lupkes had two hits, including the grand slam home run, and drove home eight runs.  B. Hoff had two hits, one a double, and three RBIs.  M. Kunzweiler and Siemonsma both had two hits and two RBIs each.  Voeltz also had two hits with an RBI.  Rolfson had a single and three RBIs.  A. Kunzweiler ended with a hit and an RBI.  Ayla Kramer, Paiten Schuldt, and Izzy McKinney all had one RBI each.

B. Hoff pitched two innings and allowed three hits.  Emery Hartman threw one inning and allowed a hit with one strikeout.
