Mustang Softball Blanked by West Central

The Tri-Valley Mustangs softball team traveled to Hartford for a make-up game with the West Central Trojans on Tuesday, May 7th.  The Trojans had one big inning to help lead them to a 12-0 win over Tri-Valley.

Izzi Parsons scored on an error in the bottom of the first to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead.  Elisabeth Miller had an RBI double, and Sophie Rolfson had an RBI groundout in the bottom of the second to push the West Central lead to 3-0.  The big inning for the Trojans came in the bottom of the third.  They scored seven runs on six hits.  RBIs by Jocelyn Nilson and Ayla Kramer added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Tri-Valley was held to just five total hits in the game.  Emery Pearson had a double.  Syenna Bird, Isabella Wetmore-Ocampo, Reese Wilt, and Aava Christensen all had single in the game.  Emry Jones pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed nine runs, seven earned, on six hits and three walks.  Keagan Kuchta pitiched 1 2/3 innings allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits.

For the West Central Trojans, Miller had two hits, one a double, an three RBIs.  Nilson had two singles and an RBI.  Rolfson finished with a hit and two RBIs.  Hanna Raethz had a double and an RBI.  Caitlyn Hoff, Kramer, and Addy Kunzweiler all had a hit and an RBI.  Emillee Stofferahn added a double.  Stofferahn pitched all five innings allowing five hits while striking out 11 batters.
