Tri-Valley Softball Suffers First Loss of Season

The Tri-Valley Mustang softball team suffered their first loss of the season on Monday, April 8th.  The Tea Area Titans scored in every inning but the first in an 18-7 win.

The Mustangs took advantage of Tea not scoring in the top of the first inning.  Emry Jones launched a three-run home run to centerfield to give Tri-Valley a 3-0 lead after the first inning.  The Titans would score four times in the top of the second and one more in the third for a 5-3 lead.  The Mustangs took the lead again, 6-5, after a three-run home run by Reagan Pearson in the bottom of the third.

Tea Area, however, would continue to score throughout the rest of the game  The Titans scored two in the fourth, three in the fifth, five runs in the sixth inning, and then three more in the seventh for an 18-6 lead.  Izzy Davey had a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh for Tri-Valley.

I. Davey had two hits, including a home run, and an RBI.  Jones and R. Pearson each had a home run and three RBIs.  Syenna Bird finished with three singles.  Kadence Davey added two hits, including a double.  Emery Pearson, Reese Wilt, and Ava Christensen all had one single each.  Jones pitched five innings and allowed 10 earned runs on 13 hits and two walks with one strikeout.  I. Davey pitched two innings and allowed eight earned runs on nine hits and two walks with one strikeout.
