Mustang Softball Pounds Fighting Cougars

The Tri-Valley Mustangs got back into the win column after a big 16-0 win over the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars on Thursday, April 11th.

Tri-Valley scored in every inning, and it started with a five-run top of the first inning. Kadence Davey led off the game with an inside-the-park home run.  Keagan Kutcha had a two-run double in the inning as well.  The Mustangs added four more in the top of the second.  Izzy Davey had a two-run single, and Reagan Pearson had an RBI single.  The home runs were flying in the third inning.  Emry Jones, Emery Pearson, and I. Davey all had home runs to push the Mustang lead to 13-0.  Tri-Valley added three more runs in the top of the fourth.

I. Davey pitched all four innings and allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out 10 batters.  At the plate I. Davey had three hits, one a home run, and three RBIs.  Kutcha had three hits, one a double, and three RBIs.  E. Pearson also had three hits, with a home run, and an RBI.  Jones finished with two hits, one a home run, and three RBIs.  K. Davey ended with two hits, including a home run, and an RBI.  R. Pearson finished with a single and two RBIs.  Reese Wilt had a hit and an RBI.  Ava Christiansen added two singles, and Danika Fluth had an RBI.
