Mustang Softball Faces Tough Dell Rapids Team

The Tri-Valley Mustangs hosted one of the top teams in Class A on Thursday, April 18th, in the Dell Rapids Quarriers.  The Quarriers scored in every inning and took the win 15-0 in three innings.

The tone was set in the top of the first inning when Dell Rapids scored nine times.  The Quarriers added a run in the second inning and then five more in the top of the third.  Tri-Valley had chances to put runs on the board in the game.  Kadence Davey started the bottom of the first with a single and got as far as third base, but was unable to score.  Izzy Davey started the second with a double and got to third base, but again the Mustangs could not score.  Tri-Valley had the bases loaded in the bottom of third with two outs, but a pop fly to short stop ended the game.

I. Davey had a double.  Emry Jones, K. Davey, and Keagan Kuchta all had one single each.  Jones pitched two innings and allowed 13 runs, 11 earned, on 10 hits and five walks.  I. Davey pitched one inning and allowed two earned runs on three hits with one strikeout.
