Tri-Valley Drops Baseball Game at Dell Rapids

After having 11 days between games, the Tri-Valley high school club baseball team was able to get back on the field on Sunday, April 23rd.  Tri-Valley traveled to Dell Rapids but lost by a score of 10-1.

Dell Rapids scored a run in the bottom of the first innings and then two more in the bottom of the second for an early 3-0 lead.  Tri-Valley picked up a run in the top of the third.  Nathan Madison drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home Noah Haynes.  Dell Rapids held Tri-Valley scoreless the rest of the game while scoring a run in the bottom of the third, five in the fourth, and one more in the fifth.

Tri-Vally had only two hits in the game.  Brody Dybvig and Lawson Louiseu both had a single.  Madison had an RBI.  Tyler Groenewold pitched three innings allowing eight runs, four earned, on four hits and eight walks with three strikeouts.  Kaden Egger also pitched three innings and allowed two unearned runs on one hit with two strikeouts.
