Tri-Valley Baseball Powers Past Baltic

The Tri-Valley high school baseball team scored in every inning but one as they rolled past Baltic 18-4 on Thursday, April 23rd.

Cooper Durick put Tri-Valley on the board first with an RBI sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning.  Baltic scored two times in the bottom of the inning for an early 2-1 lead.  Treyson Richter and Denton Bicknase brought home runs in the top of the third inning.  Richter and Bicknase brought home runs again in the top of the fourth inning to put Tri-Valley ahead 6-2.

Cole Hendrixson had an RBI triple in the top of the fifth.  Brody Dybvig brought home Hendrixson.   Dybvig lated scored on a passed ball.  Richter scored on an error, and Mason Hemme had an RBI single to push the lead to 11-2.  Baltic scored a run in the bottom of the fifth, but Tri-Valley got that run back when Parker Hemme scored on an error in the top of the sixth.  Tri-Valley added six more runs in the top of the seventh for an 18-3.  Baltic had one more run in the bottom of the seventh.

Bicknase and Hemme both had four hits, one a double, and two RBIs each.  Richter ended with three hits and two RBIs.  Hendrixson added a single and triple with an RBI.  Dybvig had two singles with an RBI.  Durick had two RBIs.  Lawson Schneiderman pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed four earned runs on six hits and three walks with seven strikeouts.  Kade Oehlke got the final out of the game on a strikeout.
