Tri-Valley Baseball Falls Short Against West Central

The Tri-Valley high school baseball team fell to West Central in a road game, 6-1, on Tuesday, April 21st.

Tri-Valley broke a scoreless tie in the top of the third on an RBI bunt single by Treyson Richter to give Tri-Valley a 1-0 lead.  Gunnar Alfson tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with a solo home run to center field.  Ashton Gebhard had an RBI single later in the inning, and Eli Koehn had an RBI ground out to put West Central ahead 3-1.  They added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth.  Nick Lorang and Koehn both had RBI singles, and Taten Van Overbeke added an RBI ground out.

Denton Bicknase had two of the four total hits for Tri-Valley.  Richter had a single and an RBI.  Brody Dybvig had a triple.  Tristen Bunde pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed six runs, four earned, on six hits and a walk with three strikeouts.  Cooper Durick pitched 2/3 of an inning and walked one batter.
