Tri-Valley Baseball Can’t Overcome Early Runs by Sioux Falls Christian

The Tri-Valley high school baseball team couldn’t overcome early runs by Sioux Falls Christian on Wednesday, May 3rd.  Sioux Falls Christian took the win 6-2.

The Chargers scored one run in the bottom of the first and then two more in the bottom of the second for an early 3-0 lead.  Tri-Valley cut into the lead in the top of the fourth.  Nathan Madison grounded into a fielder’s choice that scored Tyler Groenewold.  Lawson Louiseu had an RBI groundout cutting the lead to 3-2.  Sioux Falls Christian added two runs in the bottom of the fifth and one final run in the bottom of the sixth for the 6-2 win.

Noah Haynes had two singles in the game.  Everett Althoff had the other hit for Tri-Valley.  Madison and Louiseu both had an RBI.  Carter Sorenson pitched 4 1/3 innings allowing five runs, two earned, on seven hits and three walks with seven strikeouts.  Kaden Egger pitched 1 2/3 innings allowing an earned run on two hits and a walk.
