Early Runs Key to Tri-Valley Baseball Win

Tri-Valley scored four of their six runs in the first three innings which helped them to a 6-3 at Flandreau on Friday, May 19th.

Flandreau scored a run in the bottom of the first inning for an early 1-0 lead.  Tri-Valley tied the game in the top of the second on a Nathan Madison single.  Carter Sorenson gave Tri-Valley a lead with a three-run double in the top of the third.  The score remained 4-1 until the top of the sixth.  Kaden Egger scored on a wild pitch, and Noah Haynes had an RBI single to extend the lead to 6-1.  Flandreau also scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Sorenson had two doubles and three RBIs.  Haynes had two hits and an RBI.  Alex Wingen, Everett Althoff, and Madison all had one hit each.  Sorenson pitched 6 1/3 innings allowing three runs, two earned, on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts.  Brody Dybvig pitched 2/3 of an inning striking out both batters he faced.
