Tri-Valley Baseball Falls to Dell Rapids in Regions

The Tri-Valley high school club baseball team had their 2023 season end in the opening round of the Region 3B tournament on Tuesday, May 23rd.  Tri-Valley lost to the hosts, Dell Rapids, by a score of 8-1.

Dell Rapids scored in every inning but one.  They got one run in the first, two runs each in the second, third and fourth innings, and then added one more run in the sixth.  Tri-Valley got their lone run in the top of the sixth when Noah Haynes scored on a passed ball.

Tri-Valley was held to just four hits.  Haynes, Everett Althoff, Brody Dybvig, and Carter Sorenson all had a single.  Landon Schenkel pitched 2 2/3 innings allowing five runs, four earned, on seven hits and one walk with two strikeouts.  Dybvig pitched 2 2/3 innings allowed three earned runs on three hits and six walks with three strikeouts.  Kaden Egger pitched 2/3 of an inning.
