Tri-Valley Softball Cruises Past Madison in Late Innings

The Tri-Valley Mustang softball team exploded for 12 runs in the final two innings to help them to an 18-2 win over the Madison Bulldogs on Tuesday, April 8th.

The game was scoreless through two innings of play.  The Mustangs then had a big six-run top of the third for a 6-0 lead.  Madison got a single run in the third and fourth innings to make the score 6-2.  Tri-Valley got those two runs back in the top of the fifth, and the Mustangs led 8-2.  They then erupted for 10 runs in the top of the sixth for an 18-2 lead.  The game ended after six innings on the 10-run rule.

Every player had at least one hit in the game.  Izzy Davey had three hits, one a triple. and two RBIs.  Emery Pearson also had three hits, including a double, with an RBI.  Emry Jones added two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs.  Keagan Kuchta had two doubles and two RBIs.  Mattie Huwe and Reagan Pearson both had two hits each, one a double for both, with two RBIs.  Syenne Halverson had two singles.  Ava Christensen had a double with two RBIs.  Kadence Davey and Hailey Sorenson both had a single with an RBI.

Jones pitched six innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits and three walks with 13 strikeouts.
