The Dell Rapids 17U baseball team scored 10 times in the bottom of the fifth to help them to a 14-4 win over Lennox on Tuesday, June 30th.
Lennox took the lead right away in the top of the first with two runs. Dell Rapids cut the lead in half, 2-1, with a run in the bottom of the second. Lennox increased their lead with a run in the top of the third. Dell Rapids put three runs on the bottom in the bottom of the third to go in front 4-3. Lennox tied the game, 4-4, in the top of the fourth. Dell Rapids scored 10 times in the bottom of the fifth to end the game on the 10-run rule.
AJ Brandenburg and Hayden King had two hits each, both with a double, and each had two RBIs. Haiden Kaffer and Owen Bollock each had two singles and two RBIs. Bryson Schoreder added two singles and an RBI. Charlie Bollock and Cutler Erickson each had an RBI.
O. Bollock pitched four innings and allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. Erickson pitched an inning and allowed a hit and recorded a strikeout.
