The Dell Rapids Jr Legion team cruised to a 17-2 home win over the West Central VFW JV team on Tuesday, July 14th. Dell Rapids scored in every inning of the four-inning contest.
West Central got a run right away in the top of the first inning, but their lead did not last long. Dell Rapids put nine on the board in the bottom of the inning for a 9-1 lead. They would get three runs in the second and two more in the third for a 14-1 lead. West Central scored another run in the top of the fourth. Dell Rapids, however, would end the game on the 15-run rule with three more runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Rhett Thoreson had two hits and two RBIs. Owen Bollock added a double with an RBI. AJ Brandenburg and Charlie Bollock each had a single and an RBI. Haiden Kaffar ended with a single. Caiden Borns and Hayden King each had an RBI.
O. Bollock pitched four innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on two hits and a walk with seven strikeouts.
