The Dell Rapids high school baseball team won their ninth and tenth straight game after taking two games from Garretson on Friday, April 24th.
Dell Rapids 10, Garretson 3
Garretson scored the first two runs of the game in the top of the first for an early 2-0 lead. Dell Rapids got one run back in the bottom of the second. They would take the lead, 3-2, with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Garretson tied the game, 3-3, with a run in the top of the fifth. Dell Rapids would have a big bottom of the fifth inning with six runs to go in front 9-3. They added another run in the bottom of the sixth.
Carson Maeschen had two hits and two RBIs. Gauge Bunkers had a single and a double with an RBI. Ryan Stubbe added a double with three RBIs. Kenny Swanson had a double with an RBI. Haiden Kaffar and Rhett Thoreson both had a single and an RBI. Drake Eastman also had a single. Owen Bollock pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed an unearned run on three hits and two walks with 11 strikeouts. Connor Hanson allowed two earned runs on three walks in 1/3 of an inning.

Stubbe pitched all three innings of the second game and allowed just one hit and one walk with three strikeouts as Dell Rapids earned the win in the three-inning game that ended on the 15-run rule. Dell Rapids scored five times in the bottom of the first, eight more in the second, and then two in the bottom of the third.
Eastman had a triple with three RBIs. Jake Heinitz ended with a double and two RBIs. Hanson and Maeschen both had a double with an RBI. Swanson had a single and an RBI. Bunkers and Thoreson both had one hit each. Caiden Borns had one RBI.
