Tea-P broke a 4-4 tie after three innings and outscored West Central Gold 4-1 the rest of the way for an 8-5 win on Wednesday, July 6th.
Tea scored three runs right away in the top of the first inning. West Central got one run in their half of the first inning on an RBI single by Connor Mebius. Tea added another run in the top of the second. JT Steckley scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the second. West Central then tied the game 4-4 with two runs in the bottom of the third. CJ Denboer had an RBI single and then later scored on a wild pitch.
Tea, however, broke the 4-4 tie with three runs in the top of the fourth inning. West Central got one run back in the bottom of the sixth. Braxton Huber scored on a passed ball. Tea got one more run in the top of the seventh.
Hayden Whiting had two hits. DenBoer and Mebius both had a hit and an RBI. Steckley pitched one inning and allowed four runs, one earned, on a hit and three walks with two strikeouts. DenBoer pitched three innings and allowed three runs, one earned, on a hit and four walks with six strikeouts. Whiting pitched three innings and allowed an unearned run on a hit and two walks with three strikeouts.










West Central Blue 14U won their eleventh game of the season and fifth in a row after a 16-1 win at Dell Rapids Red on Wednesday, July 6th.
The regular season came to an end for both of the Dell Rapids 14U teams on Wednesday, July 6th. Dell Rapids Red hosted West Central Blue, and Dell Rapids Navy was at Madison Black.
The Humboldt/Hartford Wood Ducks won their second league game of the season on Thursday, June 30th. They defeated Dell Rapids PBR 12-7.
The Hartford Sparx 18U softball team is currently enjoying a very good 2022 season. The Sparx finished the month of May with a 7-2 record. They were 17-9 overall in the month of June for a current record of 24-11.
Tri-Valley White won a high-scoring, back and forth game against Elkton on Friday, July 1st. The two teams combined for 33 runs and 20 hits with Tri-Valley taking the home victory, 20-13.
The Madison Broncos scored 10 unanswered runs in a 14-7 home win over the Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks on Thursday, June 30th.
