The West Central Trojans cruised to a 34-12 win over the Canton C-Hawks at home on Friday, September 23rd to remain undefeated. Justin Zirpel and Owen Heath were in sync all game long as the two connected on five touchdown passes.
The first touchdown pass between Zirpel and Heath came with 11:18 in the second quarter from 30-yards away. They connected again on a three-yard pass with 3:15 left in the half. The third connection happened with just :14 in the second quarter on a 10-yard pass. Cambell Fischer made two of the three extra points in the quarter, and West Central led 20-0 at halftime.
The fourth touchdown pass happened with 3:01 to play in the third quarter on a five-yard pass. Fischer made the extra point, and the Trojans led 27-0. Canton got on the board with 1:43 left in the third quarter on a 10-yard touchdown pass to make the score 27-6.
Zirpel and Heath’s final connection was with 8:15 left in the game on a 10-yard touchdown pass. Fischer made the extra point once more for a 34-6 advantage. Canton added another score on a 20-yard pass with 3:43 left in the game.
The Trojans (5-0) will travel to Tri-Valley on Friday, September 30th.
