The West Central Trojans had their second straight home match on Thursday, August 25th, hosting the Dell Rapids Quarriers. Dell Rapids, though, took the match in straight sets giving the Trojans their first loss of the season.
The two teams opened the match with a close first set. The Quarriers took the win by a 25-22 score. Dell Rapids was able to carry momentum with them throughout the second set and cruised to a 25-14 win. The third set was a little closer, but again Dell Rapids got the win, 25-19, to earn their first match win of the season.
Aubree Miller and Josie Dinges each had three kills. Maria Peterson had a team-high three ace serves. Ellie Lienhard finished the match with seven set assists. Miller also had a block.
West Central (1-1) will be in Tea on Tuesday, August 30th.
