The West Central Trojans went 2-1 in their last three matches for an overall record of 3-1 on the season thus far.
On Tuesday, August 18th, the Trojans hit the road to play the Dakota Valley Panthers. The Panthers put two goals on the board in the first half, which was enough for the win. Each team got a goal in the second half, and Dakota Valley took the win, 3-1.
West Central then hosted the Vermillion Tanagers on Thursday, August 20th. The Trojan offense was firing on all cylinders in the match. They scored four times in the first half and then added five more goals in the second half to earn a 9-0 win over the Tanagers.
The Trojans had another home match on Saturday, August 22nd as they hosted the Garretson Blue Dragons. Baylee Poss put West Central on the board with 12:56 to play in the first half. That was the only goal in the first forty minutes. Kaylie Schultz added to the lead with a goal at 16:30 to go. Ashlynn Borns scored the final goal with about six minutes left in the match. The Trojans defeated Vermillion 3-0 to improve to 3-1 on the season.
