The #1 seeded West Central Trojans punched their ticket to the state tournament with a 15-0 win over the Winner Warriors in the SoDak 16 on Tuesday, May 27th.
The first three innings were close between the two teams. West Central scored a single run in the bottom of the first and single run in the bottom of the third. The Trojans led 2-0 after three innings. West Central then had a big 13-run bottom of the fourth to end the game on the 15-run rule.
Sophie Rolfson had three hits and two RBIs. Izzi Parsons also had three hits with an RBI. Ayla Kramer had two hits, one a home run, and four RBIs. Maddy Kunzweiler and Addy Kunzweiler both had two hits and two RBIs each. Elisabeth Miller ended with a double and two RBIs. Miley Travis also had a double with an RBI. Briauna Hoff and Kadence Lupkes both ended with a hit. Miller pitched four innings and allowed just one hit and one walk with eight strikeouts.
The 2025 South Dakota State A Softball Tournament will be held in Aberdeen Thursday, June 5th through Saturday, June 7th.
