The West Central Trojan softball team earned two big wins on back-to-back days. They defeated the Madison Bulldogs on Monday, May 12th and then beat the Baltic Bulldogs on Tuesday, May 13th.
West Central 14, Madison 1
The Trojans were held to just a single run in each of the first three innings for a 3-0 lead. The offense got rolling int he top of the fourth when they scored eight times to make the score 11-0. Madison got a run in the bottom of the fourth, but The Trojans added three more in the top of the fifth. The game ended on the 10-run rule after five innings.
Miley Travis had a single, triple, and home run with three RBIs. Elisabeth Miller had two hits, one a home run, and two RBIs. Ayla Kramer added two doubles and two RBIs. Sophie Rolfson also had two hits with two RBIs. Kadence Lupkes had two singles and an RBI. Izzi Parsons and Briauna Hoff each had two singles. Miller pitched five innings and allowed an earned run on two hits and two walks with 11 strikeouts.
West Central 17, Baltic 1
The Trojans scored in every inning but one in a 17-1 win on Tuesday. West Central scored eight times right away in the top of the first inning. Baltic scored their lone run in the bottom of the first. The Trojans had seven runs in the top of the second and two more in the top of the fourth. The game ended on the 15-run rules after the fourth inning.
Rolfson finished with three hits, including a double and home run, and two RBIs. K. Lupkes had a single and double with three RBIs. Parsons had two singles with an RBI. Hoff had a single and double with an RBI. addy Kunzweiler had a home run and two RBIs. Kramer finished with a double and two RBIs. Miller had a single with an RBI. Emma Voeltz ended with a double. Kacey Jaton and Teagan Lupkes both had one single each. Miller pitched one inning and allowed an unearned run on a walk with a strikeout. Hoff pitched three innings and allowed a hit and walk with two strikeouts.
