The West Central high school baseball team rallied in the late innings for a 10-3 win over Baltic on Wednesday, April 30th.
Baltic scored the first three runs of the game. They got a run in the top of the second, one in the fourth, and one more in the top of the fifth for a 3-0 lead. West Central rallied for four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead 4-3. They would have a big six-run inning in the bottom of the sixth for the 10-3 score.
Caden Alfson had two hits, one a triple, and an RBI. Gunnar Alfson had a single and three RBIs. Beckett Everson added a hit and an RBI. Hayes Cain and Hayden Whiting both had a hit. Ashton Gebhardt pitched four innings and allowed two earned runs on three hits and a walk with four strikeouts. CJ DenBoer threw three innings and allowed an earned run on two hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
