West Central Boys and Girls Wrestling Teams Place Well in Madison

The West Central Trojan boys and girls wrestling teams participated in the Madison Invitational on Saturday, December 16th.  Both teams placed well at the tournament.  The boys team finished third with 169.5 points.  The girls team was eighth with 59.0 points.

For the boys team, Chandler Carda won the 165-pound weight class with three pins.  Gavin Pischke also won the 285-pound division with four decision wins.  Keaton Vessells placed second in the 157-pound class with a 2-1 record.  Kaden Haakinson (106) had a third place finish with a 4-1 record.

Karson Vessells (126) also placed third with a 3-1 record.  Langdon Klinkhammer (138) finished fourth with a 2-2 record.  Bentley Klinkhammer (113) was fifth with a 3-2 record.  Rayce Whiting (175) also placed fifth with a 3-2 record.  Orlando Whiting (132) took sixth with a 3-3 record on the day.  Gabe Gebhard (215) was sixth with a 2-3 record.  Jesse Jost (144) had two wins at the tournament.

For the girls team, Allison Foote won her division with two pins.  Kyliegh Schuller was third with three wins.  Hailey Fortney also had a third place finish with three wins.  Wylynn Drevlow also took part in the tournament.
