West Central Trojan football head coach Barry Matthies said 11A will be extremely competitive again in 2024 with teams such as Sioux Falls Christian, Dell Rapids, Canton, Dakota Valley, Tri-Valley, and newcomer Rapid City Christian.
The Trojans finished 10-2 a year ago and was the Runner-Up in class 11A. They return seniors Caden Alfson, Keaton Vessells, Creighton Sandholm, Cyrus Maras, Karsen Wilde, Aiden Bartmann, Seth Lind, Evan Jaton, and Cody Opitz. The Trojans return four offensive lineman from a year ago that will be one of their strengths this season.
West Central will also look to juniors CJ DenBoer, Haden Whiting, Ashton Gebhard, Carter Gross, and Eli Mundahl along with sophomores Elliot DeJong and Boche Knight to play significant roles.
