The West Central Trojan softball team finished their regular season with a perfect 19-0 record after a 14-4 win over Madison on Thursday, May 16th.
The Trojans put eight runs on the board in the first two innings. They had a single run in the bottom of the first and then had a big seven-run bottom of the second inning. They added another run in the bottom of the fourth to make the score 9-0. The Bulldogs pushed four runs across in the top of the fifth, but West Central scored five times in the bottom of the inning to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Emilee Stofferahn had two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs. Hanna Reathz and Jocelyn Nilson both had a double and two RBIs each. Izzi Parsons and Kadence Lupkes both had a single and two RBIs. Addy Kunzweiler added a single and RBI. Caitlyn Hoff finished with a single. Ayla Kramer had two RBIs, and Elisabeth Miller had one RBI. Stofferahn pitched five innings and allowed four earned runs on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts.
