Trojan Football Wins Final Regular Season Road Game

The West Central Trojan football team took to the road for the final time in the regular season on Friday, October 13th.  The Trojans traveled to Lennox and came home with a 36-6 win over the Orioles.

On a cold, windy, and rainy evening, the Trojans featured a heavy run game.  Chet Carda put West Central on the board with 7:21 to go in the first quarter on a nine-yard touchdown run.  Jesse Jost had a three-yard touchdown run with 1:27 left in the opening quarter.  West Central led 12-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Carda had his second touchdown of the game on a five-yard run with 7:15 to play in the first half.  Jude Jarding found the endzone with 1:20 to play on a 13-yard run.  The Trojans converted both two-point conversions, and West Central led 28-0 at halftime.

West Central had one more score in the game.  Layton Johnson had a 52-yard touchdown run with 5:43 to play in the third quarter.  A made two-point conversion gave the Trojans a 36-0 lead.  Lennox scored their lone touchdown with 3:00 remaining in the game on a 17-yard run.
