Tincaps Walk off West Central Legion

West Central had a 5-2 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning, but Tea tied the game and then earned a walk-off win, 7-6, in the bottom of the eighth on Monday, July 10th.

Connor Siemonsma put West Central on the board with an RBI ground out in the top of the first inning.  Tea tied the game in the bottom of the third and then took the lead with a run in the bottom of the fifth.  West Central jumped back in front with four runs in the top of the sixth.  Andrew Zimmer had an RBI single and then scored on a wild pitch, and Duece Sherard added an RBI single.

Tea tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the seventh to send the game into extra innings.  Sherard put West Central in front 6-5 in the top of the eighth after scoring on a wild pitch.  The Tincaps scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to steal the win.

Sherard had two hits, one a triple, and an RBI.  Zimmer also had two hits, including a double, and an RBI.  Siemonsma added a single and an RBI.  Domo Chandeswang and Maison Schult also had a hit.  Owen Heath pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed five runs, four earned, on four hits and four walks with 10 strikeouts.  Schult pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
