The West Central 16U team evened their record to 5-5 after a big 14-2 home win over Parker on Thursday, June 29th.
Parker held a brief 1-0 lead after scoring a run in the top of the first inning. West Central took the lead for good in the bottom of the inning with four runs. They would had two more in the bottom of the second for a 6-1 lead. Each team scored a run in the third, and then West Central put the game out of reach with a seven-run bottom of the fourth inning. The game ended in the fifth inning on the 10-run rule.
J. Mallinger and K. Grace both had a single and two RBIs. Landen Holewa and N. Erickson finished with a single and an RBI each. Bubba Kono added a double. Carter Evans hhad two RBIs. CJ DenBoer, C. Stromer, C. Eich, and Chase Nelson all had one RBI each. Grace pitched two innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on two hits and four walks with two strikeouts. Holewa pitched three innings and allowed just one hit and two walks with seven strikeouts.
