The West Central 16U baseball team couldn’t overcome an early lead by Madison Gold and lost 7-1 on Thursday, June 22nd.
Madison Gold scored six times in the bottom of the first inning. They added another one in the bottom of the third. West Central got their run in the top of the fourth. Landen Holewa scored on a wild pitch.
West Central was held to just three hits. Zach Lorang and Cain Grocott each had a double. Nick Lorang had a single. Grocott allowed four runs, three earned, on the mound. Anthony Lanham pitched two innings and allowed three earned runs on three hits and five walks with a strikeout. Carter Evans pitched an inning without allowing a hit.
