The West Central Gold 14U baseball team earned a 9-6 victory at home against Tri-Valley White on Friday, June 23rd.
Tri-Valley got out to an early lead scoring two runs in the top of the first and another in the top of the second. West Central then scored six times in the bottom of the second to take a 6-3 lead. Each team scored a run in the third, and after three innings, West Central led 7-4. Tri-Valley added another run in the top of the fourth to make the score 7-5, but West Central got two runs in the bottom of the inning to extend the led to 9-5. Neither team scored in the fifth, and Tri-Valley got just one run in the top of the sixth.
Kasey Fosheim had three hits for West Central. Chase Stromer had two hits and two RBIs. Carson Eich added a double with two RBIs. Kane Grace and Braylon V. had a single and an RBI each. Chris Ebsen, Spicer Johnson, and Davin Leuning all had one hit each. Max Lewin pitched four innings and allowed five earned runs on nine hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Grace pitched two innings and allowed an earned run on a hit and three walks with two strikeouts.
