West Central Legion Falls to Madison at Home

The West Central legion baseball team fell behind early against Madison and took a 12-2 loss at home on Wednesday, June 21st.

Madison scored four times in the top of the first inning and two more in the second for a 6-0 lead.  Gage Nelson had an RBI ground out in the bottom of third to put West Central on the board.  Madison, however, would add another run in the top of the fifth and then had a five-run sixth inning.  Derek Renken had an RBI single for West Central in the bottom of the sixth.

Renken had two hits, one a triple, and an RBI.  Nelson finished with a single and an RBI.  Will Nester had two hits.  CJ DenBoer finished with a double.  Renken pitched four innings and allowed six earned runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts.  Mason Schult pitched two innings and allowed six runs, five earned, on eight hits with two strikeouts.
