West Central Stays Perfect after Win over Madison

The West Central Trojans (13-0) remained undefeated on the season after an 8-2 victory in Madison on Monday, May 8th.

West Central built a 6-0 lead over the first four innings of the game.  Jocelyn Nilson had a two-run single in the top of the first inning.  Izzi Parsons added an RBI double in the top of the second for a 4-0 lead.  Caitlyn Hoff reached on an error in the top of the fourth that brought home two runs to push the lead to 6-0.  Madison got one run back in the bottom of the fourth.  Kaylee Olson had an RBI sacrifice bunt in the top of the fifth inning, and Elisabeth Miller had an RBI single later in the inning to make the score 8-1.  The Bulldogs got one more run in the bottom of the sixth.

Miller had three hits and an RBI.  Nilson had two hits, one a triple, and two RBIs.  Parsons finished with two hits, including a double, and an RBI.  Kadence Lupkes had a triple.  Emillee Stofferahn and Hoff both had a single in the game.  Olson finished with an RBI.  Stofferahn pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits and a walk with 12 strikeouts.  Hoff pitched 1 1/3 innings and didn’t allow a hit or walk and had four strikeouts.
