Trojan Softball Blanks Huskies

The West Central Trojan softball team earned their second straight shutout win on Monday, April 17th.  The Trojans hosted the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies and took the win 15-0.

West Central put three runs on the board in the bottom of the first.  Hanna Raethz had an RBI ground out, Ayla Kramer drew a bases-loaded walk, and Joc Nilson scored on a wild pitch.  The Trojans had a big second inning scoring eight times to go ahead 11-0.  Emillee Stofferahn had an RBI single, Nilson had a two-run single, Kramer had an RBI ground out, Sophie Rolfson added an RBI single, Kadence Lupkes scored on an error, and Rolfson scored on a wild pitch.

The Trojans ended the game in the bottom of the fourth inning with four more runs.  Stofferahn had a three-run home run, and Lupkes finished the game with an RBI double.

Stofferahn had two hits, one a home run, and five RBIs.  Nilson had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.  Lupkes also had two hits, one a double, with an RBI.  Izzi Parsons added two singles.  Rolfson ended with a single and an RBI.  Kaylee Olson had a single, and Raethz had an RBI.  Stofferahn also earned the win pitching four innings while allowing just one hit and one walk with eight strikeouts.
