Trojan Softball Has Five from 2021 Club Championship in Inaugural Season

In the first season of softball being a sanctioned sport by the South Dakota High School Activities Association, the West Central Trojans have plenty of leadership in the 2023 spring season.

“The Trojans are looking forward to the first sanctioned season with five returning players from the 2021 fall season championship team and a number of young players working hard to be contributors as well,” said head coach Heather Harden.

Caitlyn Hoff, Emillee Stofferahn, and Kaylee Olson will lead the team in pitching.  The Trojans will also have a number of versatile defensive players including Joc Nilson, Hanna Raethz, as well as Stofferahn and Hoff.

“On any given day, a number of our hitters have the potential to rise to the occasion at the plate,” added Harden.

The Trojans are currently scheduled to have their first game on Saturday, April 1st at home against Canton.
