Tri-Valley Maroon 16U put six runs on the board in the first three innings to help lead them to a 14-3 home win over Hamlin on Monday, July 17th.
Tri-Valley grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first with a run. They added three more in the bottom of the second with another two in the bottom of the third for a 6-0 lead. Hamlin scored two times in the top of the fourth and added one more run in the fifth to cut the lead in half, 6-3. Tri-Valley responded in a big with eight an eight-run bottom of the fifth inning to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Cyrus Kirstein had three hits, including a double, and four RBIs. Brody Dybvig and Gage Egger both had three hits, both had a double, and also both had an RBI. Carter Sorenson finished with two hits and two RBIs. Tristen Bunde added a single and two RBIs. Parker Hemme and Denton Bicknase each had a hit and RBI. Mason Hemme also had a single.
Sorenson pitched two innings and allowed four walks with five strikeouts. Dybvig pitched three innings and allowed three earned runs on two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts.
