Alexandria turned a 1-1 tie into a 13-2 win over Colton after one big inning on Friday, July 14th.
Both teams scored a run in the first inning. Cole Focken had an RBI sacrifice fly to put Colton on the board. The game remained tied 1-1 until the top of the fourth inning. Alexandria then had a 10-run inning for an 11-1 lead. Carter Sorenson scored on an error in the bottom of the fourth. Alexandria got two more runs in the top of the fifth.
Noah Haynes finished with two hits. Everett Althoff and Sorenson each had a single. Focken added an RBI. Nathan Madison pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed 11 runs, seven earned, on five hits and four walks with two strikeouts. Barrett Althoff pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on three hits with one strikeout.
